Find Community in a Small Group

Small Groups are a place where YOU can find intimate community, practical help and intensive spiritual interaction. Joyful Spirit offers a wide variety of Small Groups — which are a great way to get connected to a church in a non-threatening environment. Come and check our small groups — you’ll be glad you did!

Couple’s Group
Join other couples that are interested in making new friends while growing in faith. Get connected with other couples once a month for dinner, a movie, devotionals and lots of fun.

Daytimers
Do you have a hard time deciding how to prioritize your time? What will draw you closer to God? If you struggle with those types of questions, check out what this group is studying. Children are welcome so the atmosphere will be lighter, but still very relevant to your faith walk. Childcare will be provided for a small fee (usually $3 per child).

Extravagant Grace
We are a women's small group Bible and book study dedicated to growing deeper in faith, closer to our Lord in our daily walk and studying the message in His Word for our daily lives. As a group we participate in helping other ministries in the church. We also coordinate attendance at the Annual Women of Faith Conferences.

Men's Group
The Men’s Group continues its search for the best breakfast in Bolingbrook as well as working on projects around the church site. No hugging is allowed at these events. Other fellowship ideas are always welcome.

Joyful Players
Joyful Players is a group of people working to help others worship our Lord through drama. This group is open to anyone who wants the opportunity to improve their own personal performing techniques. The twice-monthly workshops are used for brainstorming for future dramas, practicing performing techniques, acting training, writing and directing. The ministry aspect of this group is always looking for actors/actresses, directors, script writers, set and prop designers, costumers, etc. No experience is necessary, just the courage to try it out.

Bible Study
Bible and book studies are scheduled throughout the year. The studies are intended to help individuals to grow in faith toward a better understanding of their relationship with Jesus Christ. The topics vary and promise both challenges and stimulating discussions.

Softball Team
Providing fun and fellowship each spring and summer, this championship team is always looking for and welcoming new players!
