Broadcast plays from minute 11:30-13:30 in the Christmas Eve Sermon above.
For the sermon, ‘Saintly Sinners,’ the last line of the sermon got cut off of the recording, so here it is:
"For we are all patron saints, not of things like snakes, wasps and booms, but of the love, faith, and light of Christ.  Amen."
Text for the audio missing towards the end of the June 11th sermon (when we went outside) :
You don’t have to go very far, because I’d like for each of you to grab a hold of a piece of Creation.  Whether it is a leaf, or a stick, a flower or a blade of grass.  Go ahead and hold onto it. What you all hold in your hands right now is Creation.  It is as we heard from this very first story of Scripture.  The Spirit moved over the waters, the Word of God, Jesus Christ was present and then God spoke. The piece of earth you hold in your hands was spoken into Creation.  And since it was spoken into Creation by God, you are holding the Word of God in your hands.   You see, it isn’t just Scripture that contains the Word of God.  It is all around us.  I used to think that it took a great deal of work to make the connection between the Word of God and the world of God.  But the two have always been connected, because they are one in the same thing.  The world of God is the Word of God.   We experience God and God’s Word in the Creation that was spoken into being.  We experience the Trinity in much the same way. You’ve been holding on to the Word of God; let’s now grab hold of the Trinity itself.  As we go back inside, remain standing, form a large circle, and grab the hand of the person next to you.
